Itinerary

Day 1 ZAGREB (Croatia) 
Orientation tour of Zagreb, capital of Croatia. Welcome Dinner. (H, D)

Day 2 ZAGREB (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb where we see Kaptol Square, Cathedral, Kravi Most, St. Mark's Church, Jesuit Church of St. Catherine, Parliament building, the Old Town and Ban Jelacic square. We enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Ilica Street, with its restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Optional: Kumrovec, the birthplace of Yugoslav president Tito. Dinner in farm restaurant of the Zagorje Hills. (H, B)

Day 3 ZAGREB – SARAJEVO (Croatia to Bosnia & Hercegovina) 
Breakfast. Travel from Zagreb to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Check in and dinner. (H, BD)

Day 4 SARAJEVO – MOSTAR – DUBROVNIK (Bosnia & Hercegovina to Croatia) 
Breakfast. City tour of Sarajevo, where we visit Turkish Bazaar “Bascarsija”, Husrev-bey Mosque, the Olympic Stadium and Gavrilo Princip Museum. We approach medieval Mostar through the mountains and along the gorge of the Neretva river. In Mostar we visit Stari Most Bridge, a symbol of freedom. In the evening, we arrive to the picturesque walled city of Dubrovnik. Dinner. (H, BD)

Day 5 DUBROVNIK (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Tour of Old Dubrovnik on foot. Its Old Town mirrors architectural styles from the centuries and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage list. Visit the iconic Rector's Palace, view Sponza Palace, Under the City Bell Tower and explore Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its old Pharmacy, still in use today. The rest of the day is at leisure. Optional: boat ride around the Old City walls to St. Jakov Beach; traditional Croatian dinner with Dalmatian wine. (H, B)

Day 6 DUBROVNIK – Excursion to MONTENEGRO – DUBROVNIK (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Drive to the Republic of Montenegro. Explore Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. We take a boat to the islet of Our Lady Of The Rocks Roman Catholic Church. A stop in a seaside gem Perast. Visit town of Kotor, known for its fortifications. Evening at leisure in Dubrovnik. (H, B)

Day 7 DUBROVNIK – SPLIT (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Drive along the dramatic Adriatic coast to the UNESCO town of Split, where we have a walking tour along the streets of the Old Town, with its Roman roots and the scenic waterfront promenade. We see the spectacular Palace of Diocletian, the remains of the Cathedral of St. Domnius and the Temple of Jupiter. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner. (H, BD)

Day 8 SPLIT – PLITVICE LAKES (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Travel to Trogir, where we see Venetian Cathedral of St. Lovro, and Cipiko Palace, which hosted artists and scholars. In Plitvice Lakes National Park we enjoy pristine lakes and waterfalls amid the dense forest, which is on UNESCO World Heritage list. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice. (H, BD)

Day 9 PLITVICE LAKES (Croatia) 
Breakfast. Full day of active exploring the spectacular Plitvice National Park: lakes, waterfalls, lush vegetation… Afternoon at leisure. Dinner. (H, BD) 

Day 10 PLITVICE LAKES - OPATIJA – POSTOJNA CAVES – BLED (Croatia to Slovenia) 
Breakfast. Travel to the former Imperial seaside resort of Opatija for the orientation tour and some time at leisure. Proceed to Slovenia to discover the queen of the underground world Postojna Caves, rich in dripstone formations. Dinner and overnight in Bled. (H, BD)

Day 11 BLED – Excursion to LJUBLJANA – BLED (Slovenia) 
Breakfast. In the morning we enjoy the view from 11th century Bled Castle, the oldest in Slovenia, perched on a steep cliff high above the lake. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Ljubljana, charming Slovenia's capital, visiting squares along Ljubljanica river, exploring the stories of Ljubljana and its major sights: Prešeren square, Triple bridge, Cobbler's and Butcher's bridge, open air market, Town hall, Robba Fountain, Congress square, baroque churches and medieval palaces. Return to Bled for the afternoon at leisure and a possible walk at the lakeside. Optional: dinner at a traditional restaurant in medieval town of Radovljica. (H, B)

Day 12 BLED – VENICE (Slovenia to Italy) 
Breakfast. Drive south towards Italy. Orientation tour of a port city of Trieste. Visit Miramare Castle. Explore Venice. In the afternoon, we optionally take Grand Canal Cruise by boat through Venice. Evening at leisure. (H, B)

Day 13 VENICE (Italy) 
Breakfast. Walking tour of Venice, where we visit St. Mark's Square, view the Golden Basilica of St. Mark, the Bridge of Sighs, Doge's Palace with the Porta della Carta, Bell Tower. We take a boat ride to the island of Murano to visit the glassblowing factory. Optional: Gondola ride with music. Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. (H, BD)

Day 14 VENICE
